Erie Community Unit District No.1
Unit District No.1 is the first School District in the U.S. to attempt to have it's entire electrical power supplied by a wind turbine. This goal has been partially achieved as the turbine is producing power and actual savings have been realized through a reduction in power expenses from previous periods.
