Erie Community Unit District No.1

     Unit District No. 1 is the first School District in the U.S. to attempt to have it's entire electrical power supplied by a wind turbine. Although this goal has not yet been reached, the turbine is producing power and actual savings have been realized through a reduction in power expenses from previous periods.
